Responsibilities

We’re looking for a mid-senior Django backend engineer with proven experience in Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems. You’ll design scalable Django APIs, integrate MCP adapters, and deliver production-ready RAG pipelines powering real-time AI applications. What you’ll do: ● Build & optimize Django REST APIs for AI-driven systems. ● Implement RAG pipelines (embeddings, retrieval, ranking, response). ● Integrate MCP adapters with external services & vector DBs. ● Deploy & scale in Kubernetes (AKS) with CI/CD. What we’re looking for: ● 5+ years Django backend development (REST, ORM, migrations). ● Proven MCP + RAG production experience. ● Strong skills in PostgreSQL, Redis, pgvector (or Quadrant). ● Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.). 💰 \$1200 - 2k monthly contract. 🌍 Remote, 3–6 month engagement (potential conversion).
