We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist — Psychiatry (End-to-End Revenue Cycle) to join our growing team at The Coordinators! You would be working remotely with our client in the Behavioral Health / Psychiatry space.

In this role, you will manage the full billing cycle for a high-volume psychiatry practice, including charge entry, collections, insurance follow-ups, and denial resolution. You will work across systems to ensure accurate coding, real-time billing, and consistent revenue tracking while maintaining strong communication with both patients and the internal team. This is a highly hands-on, patient-facing administrative role that requires reliability, structure, and proactive communication. The ideal candidate brings experience in psychiatry or behavioral health billing, communicates with professionalism and empathy, is comfortable navigating Practice Suites (required) and Tebra (preferred), and demonstrates strong organization, consistency, and high ethical standards while supporting efficient revenue cycle operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate charge entry using ICD-10 and CPT codes for psychiatry services.
- Manage patient collections and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Communicate with patients regarding co-pays, balances, and billing questions with empathy and professionalism.
- Handle insurance follow-ups, claim rejections, and denial management.
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to services.
- Support billing for specialized services including Spravato (esketamine) and TMS.
- Manage Workers’ Compensation and Personal Injury billing workflows.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records across systems.
- Provide proactive, real-time updates and reporting on billing activity.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong experience in psychiatry or behavioral health billing (required).
- Required experience with Practice Suites billing software (required).
- Familiarity with Tebra EMR (preferred).
- Experience with charge entry, collections, AR, and denial management.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10, CPT codes, and insurance workflows.
- Experience with specialized billing (Spravato, TMS, Workers’ Comp, Personal Injury) preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English with clear, professional communication.
- Ability to communicate assertively and warmly with patients regarding billing and payments.
- Tech-savvy and effective in a remote work environment.
- High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, and respect in all patient interactions.
- Willingness to learn, grow, and develop yourself professionally.
Schedule:
- 40 hours/week (aligned with practice hours) - PST time.
Pay Range:
- $1,000 – $1,400 per month.
