ROLE OVERVIEWAs the Buyer/Planner, Solar and BESS Equipment, you will handle the Solar PV and Energy Storage buying and planning activities for equipment purchases and logistics. This role will report to the Sr. Director, Procurement.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPlanning and BuyingDraft PRs/POs & follow up, tracking to completionDay-to-day planning & buying analysisInvoice submissionAnalyze PO metrics (PR→PO, OTD, etc.)Analyze & improve transportation & logistics lanesInventory tracking and improvementManage RFQs for non-critical/non-strategic equipment (e.g. jumper cables, replacement equipment, etc.)Organize and maintain diligence documentation (bankability reports, etc.)Track required certifications and regulatory requirements for all equipment (FEOC compliance, AD/CVD, domestic content, section 201, 301, etc)Support internal compliance reviewsSupport contract management and adherence to commercial terms, including pricing, payment schedules, and incotermsCollaborate with Category Management to ensure contractual terms are current in all associated systemsWork closely with O&M to align on spare parts/replacement needs and RMAsSupporting Procurement on data inputs and systems integration roll outsEnforce procurement policiesEscalations to Procurement Manager, Category Manager and/or Sr. Director as neededResolve supplier quality and AP payment issues in collaboration with internal teams.Support onboarding and qualification of new suppliers.Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and requirementsContribute to risk management and escalation strategies for global supply chain disruptions.Monitor supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery; expedite as needed.Collaboration & CommunicationDevelop productive working relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Tech Ops, Project Management, Delivery, and Procurement).Consolidate and share key data, graphs, charts, and/or general Procurement & Logisitcs information, as requested by ProcurementProfessional Development & CultureMaintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing learning (workshops, publications, professional societies).Have Fun and do not take yourself too seriously.Additional duties, as required.REQUIRED COMPETENCIESBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experienceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, Outlook).Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsPassion to learn new things through self-study and structured settingsAbility to coordinate across internal and external teamsAbility to multitaskPREFERRED COMPETENCIESSalesforce, Procore, Google, and Smartsheet experience preferred but not requiredPositive attitude with eagerness to learn, collaborate, and support requestsCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSThe estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, along with eligibility for the company’s substantial bonus plan, with a target bonus of 30% of annual salary (prorated in the first year based on start date).
