Role Summary As the Principal Product Experience Architect, you will own the end-to-end experience design of our WellnessMAP. Your job is not to design screens, run experiments, or optimize conversion. Your job is to architect how a human moves from confusion to clarity to confidence over time. You will define: What we ask When we ask it What we show When we show it And what we intentionally withhold This is a senior, high-judgment role with real authority and responsibility. Job Duties & Responsibilities Architect the full end-to-end user journey for WellnessMAP Design progressive disclosure of health information and insights Define sequencing of questions, data collection, and feedback Reduce cognitive load, anxiety, and decision fatigue Prevent feature creep and data bloat Partner with science, engineering, design, and leadership Act as the internal guardian of simplicity, clarity, and trust Push back when complexity harms the user experience You will not: Design UI visuals or choose colors Write marketing or sales copy Run ads or funnels Optimize urgency, scarcity, or persuasion tactics Qualifications & Skills Required Required Experience 8–15+ years in product strategy, experience design, or journey architecture Led complex consumer journeys end-to-end Experience with health, behavior change, diagnostics, fintech, or education platforms preferred Proven ability to simplify complex systems Strong written and verbal reasoning skills Comfortable pushing back on leadership when needed Hard Skills Product strategy & experience architecture Information architecture & progressive disclosure Cognitive load management Onboarding & lifecycle design Systems thinking Soft Skills Deep respect for users and ethics Obsession with clarity and simplicity Comfort with ambiguity Strong judgment and restraint Excellent cross-functional communication Work From Home Requirements Up-to-date Mac or Windows computer with anti-virus protection Reliable high-speed internet connection Quiet, distraction-free workspace Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and software Must be comfortable and experienced using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, OneDrive) Compensation & Benefits Contract Phase (initial 8–12 weeks): $130–$160 per hour, depending on experience 10–15 hours per week during the architecture phase Full-Time Conversion (after contract phase, if mutually aligned): Base salary: $150,000 – $185,000 per year, depending on experience Performance bonus eligibility tied to product and retention outcomes Benefits for Full-Time Employees Include: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 80% of premiums covered by the company 80 hours of paid vacation to start, with additional PTO that grows as you grow with us (tenure-based increases) 40 hours of personal days each year for rest, life, and everything in between Paid gym membership to support your health and well-being 7 paid holidays 50% discount on all Dr. Berg products Fully remote work with a strong emphasis on healthy work–life balance Note: We are not currently hiring international or California-based employees.
