Job DescriptionDemiurge Studios is seeking an experienced Senior QA to help bring high-quality, world-class game experiences to players. You will be an integral part of a cross-discipline team focused on Dev QA for Around Game functionality. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive in communicating quality risks and identifying ways to fill coverage gaps. The right candidate also has deep expertise in test plan design, documentation and execution. This position is full-time and short-term, with a possibility of extension.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and execute functional test plans and test casesContribute to Acceptance Criteria and testing estimatesCollaborate and coordinate with external and internal stakeholders including Production, Engineering, Art, and/or UI/UXProactively maintain testing priorities across all deliverablesReport accurate defects with technical and visual reproduction steps and assist with defect triage as neededCreate, update, and provide test status and reports for daily builds, features, back-end systems, and other assigned areas up through and including product certificationSupport cross-discipline team with Dev Support activities as needed: daily BVTs, technical troubleshooting, playtest coordination, regression testing as examples.Ensure the game meets internal/external quality goalsMust-have Qualifications4-6 years QA experience and track record of successfully shipped titlesPrior experience in a Senior or Lead role in: Console certifications, Compliance, Accessibility, Shop, Back-end/API and other Around Game testingAdditional specific experience in designing and executing tests for game functionality including: Voice Chat, Streamer Mode, Events, Player Profiles, Store, Anti-CheatExperience working under a variety of agile and fixed-time development processesExperience with static analysis of requirements and designs in order to identify quality gaps and to inform test designExtensive experience with defect reporting/triage and root cause analysisExcellent command of test plan authoring and implementationExperience with test case & test artifact management, tracking & reportingProficiency with Jira, Confluence, Excel and Google SuiteAbility to identify and improve QA processes and toolingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProfessional demeanor with a team-focused attitudePreference to Applicants WithExperience testing on a range of platforms (PC/Console/Mobile)Knowledge of TCRs & XRsExperience with Localization testingExperience working on AA or AAA titles built in leading game enginesExperience with automated testing, scripting, tools and/or acceleratorsExperience performing Compatibility, Security and Performance testingBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceAbout Us:Headquartered in Boston, MA at Demiurge you will find a studio with an amazing, collaborative culture and a deep respect for art in all our games.
