We work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Product, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure that Upstart’s home lending activities meet regulatory standards and align with best practices. Our team is focused on building scalable, effective, and forward-looking compliance oversight that empowers business success while managing risk.The Data Analyst, Home Lending role will be critical in strengthening our first-line secured lending data, reporting, and risk oversight capabilities. The ideal candidate will own and support regulatory and management reporting across HMDA, CRA, Call Reporting, fair lending data, portfolio performance, and loan-level quality controls. They will help ensure our data pipelines, reconciliations, dashboards, and analytical packages are accurate, timely, and exam-ready, while partnering cross-functionally with compliance, risk, operations, and business teams in a highly regulated lending environmentHow you’ll make an impactOwn first-line secured lending data and reporting support, including regulatory reporting inputs, data integrity, reconciliations, and timely loan-level reportingLead regulatory and risk reporting for home lending, including filing our HMDA LAR, mapping Call Report feeds, tracking CRA activity, and performing loan-level quality checks on data used for fair lending and compliance testingProduce risk dashboards and management reporting across portfolio, channel, geography, delinquency, vintage, concentration, and product performanceMaintain core data pipelines, controls, and aggregation capabilities supporting reliable product- and portfolio-level reportingProvide reporting for product risk oversight, including channel, underwriting, pricing, override, and exception reportingSupport exams, committees, and business continuity planning through data extracts, analytical packages, reporting materials, and recovery-planning inputs Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience with data collection, reporting, or compliance reporting and monitoring.Strong understanding of mortgage lending operations and regulatory data requirements.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and manage deadlines in a highly regulated environment.Proficiency with loan origination, compliance, or data reporting systems.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience preparing HMDA LAR, CRA data, and Call Report submissions.Familiarity with fair lending, mortgage compliance, or consumer lending compliance.Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or compliance testing.What you'll loveAt Upstart, our benefits are designed to support your health, financial well-being, family, and personal growth.
