Responsibilities


We are seeking a Computational Linguist to join our team. You will be part of a talented software team that delivers the latest in Conversational AI and Agentic technologies, bringing advanced voice solutions to quick-service restaurants (QSR) across the world. As part of that team, you will gain an under-the-hood understanding of all technologies involved in enabling conversational, omni-channel human-system interactions.AccountabilitiesContribute to the design, development and testing of production-grade conversational AI systems.Work with customers to analyse and understand business requirements.Design the application in line with established usability principles and business requirements.Implement and test semantic models and conversation flow, using both machine learning and rule-based techniques.Analyse real-life human-system dialogs, assess overall system performance and identify improvement opportunities.Engage in QA activities, such as regression testing and end-to-end testing.RequirementsKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceJunior-level programming knowledge is a strong asset.Ability to work with and analyse data to draw insights.Experience with dialog systems, either voice or chat based; experience in other production-level NLU/NLP/Agentic solutions is a plus.Experience consuming external systems such as web services.Knowledge of Java, Python, SQL and/or bash scripting.Familiarity with GitLab and Jira.Soft / Behavioural SkillsExcellent communication skills; customer facing.Ambition, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, aptitude for analytical and creative thinking, with sharp attention to detail.Well organized for both team and solo assignments.Accountable within demanding deadlines.Formal RequirementsAcademic degree in Computational Linguistics, Natural Language Processing, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.Excellent command of English and Spanish.BenefitsFixed compensation;Long-term employment with the working days vacation;Development in professional growth (courses, training, etc);Being part of successful cutting-edge technology products that are making a global impact in the service industry;Proficient and fun-to-work-with colleagues;Apple gearOmilia is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
