Job Summary:The Investigative Analyst performs the steps necessary to create a profile of a subject’s identity and addresses, as well as professional and educational history. Research is conducted leveraging multiple 3rd party platforms, proprietary records, and social media to further understand and investigate the findings developed while distinguishing which are likely necessary for the customer deliverable. Findings are reviewed to confirm if tied to a subject, saved and documented in a report template.This role may occasionally conduct interviews with individuals determined to have knowledge of the subjects’ business histories for inclusion in the final report, verification calls or clarification calls to a courthouse. As the investigation builds, the Investigative Analyst is relied on to provide insights and expertise about a particular subject.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate and develop the initial identity build in order to conduct the necessary research for a client report.Create detailed search strings using Boolean logic as well as running queries in a number of different databases with different search parameters via LexisNexis, Factiva, TLO, and various social media site such as LinkedIn.Analyze records and findings developed such as litigation filings, corporate records, liens and judgements, criminal records, news media and other records through a customer outside-in lens of value add and risk mitigation; accurately entering information into a reporting template within strict deadlines while conforming to standard phraseology and written standards.Provides internal support as required as customer deliverable is generated and supported.Locate and suggest potential interview subjects in written reports and conduct interviews with individuals determined to have knowledge of the subjects’ business histories.Job QualificationsEducation:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred; degrees research preferred or commensurate experience in a related research or investigative position.Experience:Requires 1–3 years’ experience in an investigative research or related role.Other Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:Strong proficiency with Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated proficiency with Boolean; LexisNexis and TLO knowledge is a plusStrong research skills (including internet research)Language: EnglishDemonstrated critical thinking and analytical skillExceptional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under multiple deadlines and competing demands while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency in a dynamic fast‑paced environmentSelf‑starter with a high degree of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in completing deliverables as well as organizational goalsWorking EnvironmentThis job operates remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, digital phones, and webcams.Language Requirements:As our operations serve a global and diverse client base, including both English and French speaking clients, this role requires proficiency in English in addition to French to support accurate communication, consistent service quality, and effective cross‑regional operations.Physical RequirementsThis role is largely sedentary in nature and involves sitting for long periods of time. The role requires the ability to hear and talk as well as to see data and adjust visual focus for computer and paper tasks, read, and type.What Are You Waiting For?
