## About the Role
We are seeking a talented **mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate** with at least 3 years of experience at a law firm to join our Los Angeles team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex commercial litigation matters, drafting and researching pleadings and contested motions, conducting depositions and written discovery, and arguing motions in court.
Experience in **consumer class actions, business litigation, trademark litigation, or trade secret disputes** is highly preferred.
## What You'll Do
* Manage commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution.
* Draft and research complaints, answers, pleadings, motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and class certification briefing.
* Conduct and defend depositions.
* Draft, propound, and respond to written discovery.
* Argue motions in state and federal court.
* Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and clients.
* Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct sophisticated legal research.
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
* Work independently while collaborating with a collegial, team-oriented litigation group.
* Deliver high-quality legal work while maintaining a strong commitment to client service.
## What We're Looking For
### Required Qualifications
* **3–6 years of commercial litigation experience** at a law firm.
* Juris Doctor (**JD**) from a top law school.
* Active member or pending admission to the **California State Bar**.
* Demonstrated experience managing litigation matters and drafting pleadings and contested motions.
* Experience with **motions to dismiss and/or motions for summary judgment**.
* Experience taking and defending **depositions**.
* Experience handling **written discovery**.
* Experience **arguing motions in court**.
* Excellent legal writing and research abilities.
* Strong oral advocacy, presentation, and courtroom skills.
* Ability to work independently, take ownership of matters, and exercise sound judgment.
### Preferred Experience
* Consumer class actions.
* Complex business litigation.
* Trademark litigation.
* Trade secret litigation.
* Prior experience as a **judicial law clerk**.
