Requirements and responsibilities

Description We're seeking a Senior Backend SDET / QA Automation Engineer with a strong backend testing mindset to help ensure the reliability of APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures. This is not a UI automation role—it focuses on backend services, messaging systems, contract testing, and data validation within modern engineering environments. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building automation frameworks in Python, validating Kafka-based workflows, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with multiple engineering teams to improve software quality and delivery confidence. Key Requirements: Strong backend automation experience using Python, with hands-on API testing and distributed systems validation (Go experience is a plus) Experience testing event-driven architectures, including Kafka/events/messages, with strong SQL skills for data validation Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, including contract testing (Pact, JSON Schema, or similar), with excellent cross-team communication
