Company Overview:
- ShipSense is a US-based shipping and logistics company that helps businesses manage their parcel shipping operations.
Role Overview:
- We are looking for a detail-oriented builder to own the technical side of our revenue operations.
- This is not a developer role, but it requires someone who can work confidently inside tools like HubSpot, set up automations, connect integrations, and build reporting dashboards without needing an engineer to hold their hand.
Compensation:
- Base: Competitive monthly salary (commensurate with experience) paid in USD.
- Structure: Independent contractor, you invoice ShipSense monthly.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain our CRM (HubSpot), including pipelines, properties, views, sequences, and workflows.
- Set up and manage automations and integrations between tools, such as HubSpot, Slack, email, dialers, and spreadsheets.
- Build and maintain reporting dashboards so the team can see what is happening in the business.
- Troubleshoot when something breaks, find the root cause, fix it, and document what you did.
- Read and make light edits to scripts or configuration files when needed.
- Work alongside others to translate business needs into working system setups.
- Keep documentation up to date for everything you build.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building in CRMs and automation tools.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Comfort with integration tools like Zapier, Make, Integromat, or similar.
- Ability to read and make basic edits to scripts or JSON/YAML config without needing a developer.
- Reliable internet and a stable working environment.
- HubSpot experience is a strong plus, including pipelines, workflows, sequences, custom properties, and reporting.
Work Schedule:
- We work in US Pacific Time.
- This role has flexibility, but you must be available for at least 4 hours of overlap with our team between 9 AM and 5 PM PT each day for calls, check-ins, and live collaboration.
- Async work is fine for the rest of your day.
