Extreme Networks is seeking a dynamic US Public Sector Services Account Executive to lead the charge in growing our service business with our SLED clients.In this high-impact role, you'll own the full services number and have a strategic focus on expanding and optimizing Extreme Service across the SLED region. This is a remote position offering flexibility while delivering measurable results. You'll report directly to the Director of Service Sales and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe US Public Sector Services Account Executive must be comfortable working with complex data, pricing structures, and government contracting requirements, and must be able to translate Extreme's Services offerings into clear, business-friendly value propositions for Public Sector buyers. This role requires a high degree of independent judgment balanced with adherence to standard sales processes to ensure consistency and compliance.The successful candidate will have a proven track record of carrying and exceeding a services or subscription revenue quota, ideally within Public Sector or a similarly regulated vertical. They must be self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable managing a large geographic territory independently while staying closely aligned with cross-functional teams.Own and drive Services sales strategy and execution across 2-3 named U.S. Public Sector territoriesBuild and manage a pipeline of new attach, renewal, and expansion Services opportunities across Federal, State, Local, and Education accountsLeverage data on attach rates, renewal rates, and penetration to identify whitespace and prioritize account coveragePartner closely with Account Executives, Systems Engineers, and Channel Partners to position Extreme's Services portfolio as part of every opportunityDevelop a deep understanding of Public Sector funding cycles — including E-Rate, biennium budgets, and Federal fiscal-year timing — and align sales motions accordinglyIncrease adoption of Premier Support, Managed Services, and subscription offerings within the territoryPrepare and deliver executive-ready proposals, renewal quotes, and business reviews for customers and internal stakeholdersNavigate government procurement processes, including GSA schedules, firm-fixed-price contracts, and RFP/RFQ requirementsCollaborate with Services Sales leadership, Deal Desk, and Finance to structure and close complex, multi-year Services agreementsMaintain accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce to support Americas-wide reporting and planningRepresent Extreme's Services value proposition at customer meetings, industry events, and partner engagements within the assigned territoryRequired QualificationsUS CitizenExperience in State, Local, K-12 and Higher Education a must5-8 years of enterprise software and services sales experienceProven track record of exceeding revenue targets and managing a sales forecastStrong consultative selling skills with ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutionsExcellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to executive-level buyersExperience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholdersAbility to build and maintain strong client relationships in an account-based selling modelSelf-motivated, results-driven professional with strong organizational skillsProficiency with CRM systems and sales toolsBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience selling IT services, cloud services, or managed servicesBackground in networking, cybersecurity, or enterprise infrastructure solutionsKnowledge of Extreme Networks products or competitive landscapeExperience working with channel partners and indirect sales modelsTrack record of successful service expansion and renewal managementWhat We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is a strategic problem-solver who:Proven track record in a competitive, quota-carrying sales environmentBS/BA degree or equivalent experienceSignificant demonstrable Services and subscription sales experience, specifically within U.S. Public Sector (State, Local, and Education)Working knowledge of government funding and procurement cycles, including E-Rate, biennium budgeting, GSA schedules, and firm-fixed-price contractingTrack record of engaging and influencing senior/executive-level stakeholdersProven ability to grow and protect recurring services revenueAbility to explain complex services processes and pricing in clear business termsExcellent communication and presentation skillsEffective time management and prioritization across multiple named territoriesCommercial awareness with a solid understanding of services finance and deal structuringAbility to build and sustain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teamsExperience with networking, IT infrastructure, or managed services solutions is a strong plusIT literate, including proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft OfficeHigh-energy, competitive nature with a strong sense of personal accountability for resultsWillingness and ability to travel up to 25% within the assigned territoryWhat We OfferRemote Flexibility: Work from anywhere within the Central to Eastern US (preferred) region. Actual compensation offered will depend on the selected candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and work location.
