Requirements and responsibilities

About PolymarketPolymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform. We enable individuals to express views on real-world events by trading on outcomes across politics, economics, sports, culture, and current affairs. Built as a peer-to-peer marketplace with no centralized "house," Polymarket aggregates diverse opinions into transparent, market-based probabilities that reflect collective expectations about the future. We're growing fast, both in terms of volume ($21B traded in 2025) and adoption as an alternative news source. Our ambition is to become a ubiquitous beacon of truth in global media and we need your help adding fuel to the fire.About the RolePolymarket's DeFi products, predictions and perps, are scaling fast. Market makers and institutional partners are onboarding at a pace that one person can no longer handle alone. Right now, the engineering lead owns every technical integration end to end: onboarding, debugging, docs, partner escalations. This role exists to change that. You'll be the primary technical contact for market makers and institutional partners integrating with our stack. That means owning onboarding across our CLOB, WebSocket feeds, RFQ gateway, and Python/TypeScript SDKs, being the person partners call when something breaks in production, and making sure the docs and samples are good enough that integrations don't take longer than they should. Most of our market makers trade both predictions and perps, so you'll cover both. This is not a coordination role. You'll be doing the technical work directly: reading logs, debugging API issues, writing code samples, and translating partner friction into actionable feedback for product and engineering. Success at 90 days looks like fully owning a set of market maker onboarding end to end, without escalating to the engineering lead, and having cleaned up the integration backlog you inherit. What You'll DoOwn technical onboarding for market makers and institutional partners end to end, from first API call to live trading, across our CLOB, WebSocket feeds, and RFQ gateway.Serve as the primary technical contact post-onboarding, triaging issues, debugging integrations in production, and coordinating with engineering on fixes.Write and maintain integration guides, code samples, and SDK documentation that reduce time-to-live for new partners.Monitor the health of active partner integrations proactively and surface issues before partners report them.Translate partner feedback, including bugs, missing features, and API pain points, into clear, actionable input for product and engineering.Build and maintain code samples in Python and TypeScript that partners can actually use, not just reference.Act as the technical bridge between trading firms and internal engineering, explaining complex system behavior clearly to both sides. What We're Looking ForHands-on experience integrating or debugging trading or exchange APIs (REST, WebSocket) in production. You've debugged real issues under pressure, not just in a sandbox.Strong proficiency in Python. You can write working integration samples, debug partner code, and read Rust or TypeScript when needed.Strong technical communicator. You can explain how an order book works to a quant at a trading firm and explain what that same firm needs to an internal engineer.Track record of owning partner or client technical relationships end to end, from first contact through resolution, without dropping things or waiting to be told what to do next.Solid understanding of electronic trading fundamentals: order types, market data feeds, execution mechanics, and how latency-sensitive systems behave under load.(Plus) Experience at a crypto exchange, DeFi protocol, or on-chain trading venue.(Plus) Background doing client integrations for market makers or HFT firms.(Plus) Prior work as a solutions engineer or developer relations engineer at a fintech or trading technology company.(Plus) Familiarity with perpetuals, derivatives, or prediction markets.BenefitsCompetitive salary & equityUnlimited PTOFull Health, Vision, & Dental coverage401k matchHardware setup: new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
