Requirements and responsibilities


Job Core Responsibilities: - Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines as well as other production equipment such as shear cutters, hydraulic presses, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and stamping presses. - Perform machine setups, adjustments, and routine maintenance to ensure efficient and quality production. - Conduct tests, analyses, and calibrate assemblies in accordance with company policies and safety procedures. - Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to maintain peak performance. - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, job travelers, and manuals to meet specifications. - Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers) to verify product quality and ensure production items meet tolerance and specification requirements. - Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain quality standards. - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work environment. - Other responsibilities as assigned. - Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. - May require working nights, weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as necessary. - Setting up and operating conventional machining tools like lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other manually controlled equipment. - Understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining sequence and requirements. - Choosing appropriate cutting tools, adjusting speeds and feeds, and ensuring proper tool setups. - Identifying and resolving issues with machines, and performing routine maintenance to ensure proper functioning. - Must maintain a clean and efficient workstation while maintaining safety standards and production efficiency levels. - Keep machine tools clean and in good working order. Job Specifications: Education: - A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is required. Certifications: - Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in a related field. Experience: - 2+ years of relevant experience operating CNC machines independently and experience setting up and running other production equipment such as shear cutters and hydraulic presses. Skills and Competencies: - Proven ability to operate CNC machines and other machining tools independently. - Experience in semi-repetitive and specialized machine operations. - Proficient in using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and performing routine maintenance tasks. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job documentation accurately.
