This is a high-impact role where you’ll architect and build scalable software systems that analyze hundreds of signals in real time to look for complex patterns of fraud as we shape the future of fraud prevention. We’re scaling fast, and you’ll have the chance to influence the future of our fraud platform.What You’ll DoDesign and Architect: Lead the design and implementation of highly scalable, resilient, and secure microservices and platform components crucial for real-time fraud detection and preventionTechnical Strategy & Vision: Define the long-term technical roadmap for core engineering systems, ensuring they align with CertifID's business goals and can proactively address evolving fraud threats.Hands-on Development: Act as a principal individual contributor, writing high-quality, performant code in languages like Python, Java, or C#, and performing thorough code reviews.Security & Performance: Champion engineering best practices around security, performance, reliability, and observability (telemetry, logging, alerting) within our cloud-native environment (e.g., AWS, Azure).Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and other Engineering teams to translate complex fraud and business requirements into concrete, deliverable technical specifications.Mentorship & Influence: Mentor and coach other engineers on complex architectural patterns, design principles, and operational excellence, elevating the technical capabilities of the entire team.Incident Resolution: Lead the investigation and resolution of the most complex production issues, implementing preventative measures to ensure system stability and integrity.What We’re Looking ForProven experience as a staff-level software engineer in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
