About the Role:
- We are building a multi-tenant SaaS platform that helps teams deploy AI-powered support agents.
- The product includes a rich workspace — dashboards, a document library, a help desk, billing, team settings, and admin panels — alongside public-facing pages that serve end users.
- As a frontend / product UI developer you will own the interface craft that makes the platform feel polished, fast, and intuitive.
- This is product UI work — dense dashboards, data-driven screens, and multi-state workflows — not landing-page illustration.
Responsibilities:
- Build and refine dashboard components — data tables, cards, filters, status indicators — with a focus on information density and clarity.
- Implement a reliable dark/light theme system using class-based toggling and next-themes, ensuring every surface respects the active mode.
- Develop responsive layouts for the workspace — mobile navigation, collapsible sidebars, adaptive grids — so the product works well on every screen size.
- Maintain and evolve the visual system — Tailwind configuration, colour tokens, spacing scale, and typography — to keep the interface consistent as the product grows.
- Improve form and button patterns across the app — validation feedback, loading states, disabled states, error messages.
- Create skeleton loaders and empty states that give users clear feedback during data fetches.
- Contribute to an eventual design-token system and shared component library.
Required Qualifications:
- Expert-level React 18 — hooks, context, performance patterns, composition.
- Strong TypeScript skills for typed props, state, and API contracts.
- Deep fluency with Tailwind CSS — utility-first styling, responsive breakpoints, custom configuration.
- Solid understanding of responsive design and accessibility fundamentals (keyboard navigation, ARIA, focus management, colour contrast).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Framer Motion for layout animations, page transitions, and micro-interactions.
- Familiarity with next-themes or similar theme-switching libraries.
- Prior work on dashboard-heavy products — analytics, admin panels, internal tools.
What We Look For:
- Ability to take a dense, cluttered dashboard layout and redesign it for scannability and usability.
- A working approach to class-based dark-mode implementation across a Tailwind + Next.js project.
- Comfort building accessible interactive controls (dropdowns, modals, tab groups) from scratch or with headless UI libraries.
Location & Setup:
- Remote-friendly.
- You will work inside a Next.js 14 + Tailwind monorepo.
- The design workflow is code-first — no Figma hand-offs — so you should be comfortable making visual decisions directly in code.
