Alliance for Wellness is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our diverse and seasoned group of Board Certified Physicians. The Telemedicine psychiatrist position will focus on conducting telemedicine consultations, assessing patients, prescribing medications, providing medical guidance, and maintaining patient interaction documentation. The ideal candidate must be licensed in California, have excellent bedside manner and communication skills, experience with EMR systems and telehealth, and be comfortable with technology. Responsibilities: - Conduct telemedicine consultations to assess the patients medical and psychosocial needs via video or telephone - Assess patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations, including intake forms, interviews, medical histories, and observations to diagnose patients - Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis - Provide medical guidance to onsite nursing staff and physician-to-physician consultation in the ED on patient floors, and in Ambulatory Tele-Psychiatry Clinics - Refer patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate - Maintain working relationships with onsite medical providers engaged with inpatient care - Document patient interaction, diagnosis, treatment, etc. within the hospitals EMR
