The position will also support month-end close, analyzing and reporting to ensure enterprise financial organizational success. This role is essential in the preparation and analysis of journal entries and financial activity; preparation of monthly general ledger reconciliations; entry and reconciliation of revenue, accounts receivable, and cash receipts; and continuous and proactive improvement of our processes and controls.This is a full-time remote position. Open to all time zones, but candidates who reside in Eastern or Central Time Zones are highly preferred. Salary starting at $70,000/annual (flexibility dependent upon experience, education and certifications). ResponsibilitiesWorking knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Support the Sr. Accountant and the Accounting team with the day-to-day operations by interfacing with individuals within and outside of the organization to ensure proper treatment of accounting transactionsPrepare journal entries and prepare all account reconciliations and analyses as assignedEnter journal entries and reconcile the general ledger and the subledgerPrepare bank transactions and reconciliations and reconcile payroll, intercompany accounts, expense reimbursements, AP/accruals, and fixed assetsInvestigate errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reportsApply revenue recognition techniques as part of the monthly closeParticipate in improving internal controls, policies, procedures, and documentationSupport periodic and annual auditsSupport the preparation of personal property tax returns, business license fees, and census reportingWork effectively under tight deadlines in a team environmentQualificationsMust have a BS/BA degree in accounting, finance or business; CPA a plus2+ years’ accounting experience in a fast-paced growth environmentWorking knowledge of GAAP is requiredExperience with mergers and acquisitions is a plusCurrent Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) knowledge is desiredStrong working knowledge of MS Excel essential, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPAnalytic, detail-oriented, and inquisitiveDemonstrated ability to meet monthly closing and project deadlinesExcellent oral and written communication skillsSelf-starter with a strong sense of urgency and accountabilityDesire to take on increasing responsibilityLEARN Behavioral offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits plan, including 401(k), personal time off, paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.LEARN Behavioral is an equal opportunity employer.
