We meet Americans at their place of work by embedding our products within the scheduling, workforce management, and payroll apps they already use every day.Learn more about us at getclair.com/aboutWho are we looking for?We are looking for an experienced, high-performing, team-focused QA Engineer who will join our growing QA team to test the capabilities and scalability of our next-generation embedded On-Demand Pay service.As a key member of the Clair QA team, you will be testing a world-class financial services product that will serve the needs of hundreds of thousands of American consumers. You should be comfortable working within agile technical teams, mobile and web applications, and be able to understand the principles behind API design, platform scalability, and QA testing. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with 2+ years of QA testing experience with mobile apps, Selenium, PostgreSQL, React Native and Javascript scaled platform teams.What you’ll doBe engaged in the manual testing efforts in each sprintContribute to Clair’s test automation suiteActively document new findings, bugs, and edge cases within the user flowsProduce a daily test report at the end of each dayCollaborate with various teams - Development, Design, Product, Data, and more - to gather and confirm requirements, functional design, and internal design specificationsPartner with developers and support teams to resolve defects and environment issuesWrite and execute test cases using the STLC with solid knowledge of all phases of SDLCExecute end-to-end testing of the application, and interpret test data and resultsAssist the support team with issue investigation to identify platform issues and provide a plan of action to resolve themAttend daily standups with the product development team, participate in planning meetings, and provide documentation as needed on specific elementsRequired Experience/ QualificationsPrevious testing experience is preferred, but experience in a startup environment, relevant industry can fit, and some experience with development can sufficeTeam-oriented person who is very organized and dedicated to being hands-on with the Clair experienceExperience in the Software Testing domain including testing, project planning, and estimation for mobile and web applicationsKnowledge of QA methodologies, tools, procedures, and testing techniquesExperience working in agile software development groupsExperience with Appium Studio, Xcode, Android Studio, Selenium, PostmanDemonstrate high quality and effective communication skillsProgramming experience with PHP/Laravel, JavaScript, SQLTechnical Skills:Languages: PHP/Laravel, JavaScript, SQLTools: Linear, Postman, BrowserstackAutomation: Selenium, Cypress, Xcode, Android StudioDatabase - General understanding on how to work with SQL works, we use PostgreSQL for our application databases and Snowflake for our data warehouseThings we consider a plus:Experience testing financial systems with a sound understanding of the industryExperience with test automation frameworks and converting manual test cases to automated test suitesExperience in object-oriented programming languages and concepts (e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby, C++/C#, or JavaScript)Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, Cucumber, Gherkin syntax, GitHub)Location: This is a remote position.Compensation: The annual base salary for this role is $65,000 -$95,000 depending on location. The actual base pay within this range depends on many factors, such as education, skills and experience. Base pay is only one part of Clair’s competitive total compensation package which includes benefits, perks and equity.
