Requirements and responsibilities

We are hiring a closer. Is that you? We are a fast-moving multi-brand eCommerce business, and we need one person to become the operational backbone across both brands. American Luxury Gifts sells thousands of wall art and home decor products, primarily on Amazon, with active expansion on Etsy, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Pinterest. Burn-FIX is our medical and burn care brand targeting 10X growth this year across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, and wholesale channels. The Founder is a builder, a starter, and a visionary. He generates more good ideas than the team can execute. That is not a problem. It is a structural gap, and the gap has a name: we need a world-class finisher. We are hiring a driven Director of Operations to serve as the Founder's right hand. Your job is to capture ideas, translate them into clear projects, drive the team to completion, and close every loop — because the Founder starts and you finish. If your favorite moment at work is sending a "Done. Completed. Closed." update, this role was built for you. Compensation & Partnership Base: $2,500/month. This role includes a defined profit-sharing arrangement — not a discretionary bonus, not a vague promise. Beginning at Month 6, you will receive a fixed percentage of combined net profit across both brands, paid quarterly. The percentage is set, documented, and tied directly to business performance you will have a hand in driving. At our current revenue, this adds meaningful income on top of your base. At our growth targets for the next 12–18 months, it becomes the majority of your total compensation. We will share the exact structure, the percentage, and a full revenue and margin overview with serious candidates during the interview process. This role will not make you rich on day one. It will make you exceptional. You will have more operational ownership, more Founder access, and more career-defining impact in 12 months here than most operators get in five years at a corporate job. If you are motivated by ownership and upside, keep reading. If you need a high guaranteed base to feel secure, this role is not the right fit. Position Overview This is not a task-management role. This is not an EA role. This is not a basic project coordinator role. This is a founder-force-multiplier role. You will sit between the CEO and the team, own the execution layer across two growing eCommerce brands, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. You will build the systems, run the cadence, hold the team accountable, and reduce the Founder's daily operational load so he can stay in his highest-value work. This is not a role where you walk in with all the answers. You will learn this business alongside the Founder, build the systems together, and grow into the full scope of the role as trust is established. We are looking for someone who is ready for that kind of partnership — not someone who needs to be the smartest person in the room from day one. Three core functions define this role: 1. CEO Force Multiplier •Capture every idea, decision, and priority from the CEO before it gets lost. •Translate CEO intent into clear project briefs: owner, outcome, deadline, definition of done. •Run a daily check-in: what is shipping today, what is stuck, what needs a CEO decision. •Protect the CEO from low-value interruptions and reactive task-switching. •Send a clean end-of-day and end-of-week summary without being asked. •Manage the idea parking lot: capture everything, surface the right things at the right time. 2. Team Accountability Hub •Own the master project tracker across ALG and Burn-FIX at all times. •Run the weekly team execution review: wins, misses, blockers, next actions. •Follow up with every team member on every commitment, daily or as the cadence requires. •Escalate stuck issues before they become crises. •Hold the team accountable to their commitments without drama or micromanagement. •Ensure every task has a clear owner, a deadline, and a definition of done. 3. Operational Systems Builder •Build and maintain SOPs for every recurring process: launches, asset requests, PPC coordination, catalog QA, fulfillment. •Own the project management board (Monday.com, ClickUp, or similar): structure it, maintain it, keep it accurate. •Identify workflow gaps and close them with checklists, templates, or light automations. •Reduce the number of things that live only in the CEO's head. •Build scalable operational infrastructure that supports the growth of both brands. •Own the Burn-FIX execution plan independently. This brand is targeting 10X this year and cannot be buried behind ALG. What You Will Not Do •Set strategy. The Founder owns that. •Run PPC campaigns directly. The PPC Lead owns that. •Create graphic assets. The Asset Manager owns that. •Run finance or inventory forecasting. The Finance Lead owns that. Your job is to make sure all of those people stay accountable, unblocked, and aligned. Problems come to you first. Only money, strategy, and hiring decisions go to the Founder. What We Are Looking For Must-Haves: •3–6 years of progressive experience in operations, project management, or a similar execution-focused role within an eCommerce or founder-led business. You do not need to have held the top ops seat — but you need to be ready for it. •Direct experience in eCommerce operations. Amazon, Shopify, or multi-channel catalog management. This is not negotiable. We cannot afford a 3-month learning curve. •Natural, effortless English fluency. Conversation flows easily. You do not search for words. You can jump on an unexpected call and sound polished and sharp immediately. Textbook English that is technically correct but stilted is not enough. •Highly personable, articulate, and professionally presented. People enjoy talking to you. You show up to every video call looking sharp and prepared. •Strong experience building and managing project management systems from scratch in Monday.com, Click up, Asana, or similar tools. •Demonstrated history of closing loops and finishing projects end to end. Not starting. Finishing. •Ability to hold people accountable respectfully, including pushing back on the Founder when needed. •Business and marketing savvy. You understand how revenue is generated and how execution connects to growth. •Comfortable operating independently with minimal oversight in a fast-changing environment. •Strong AI tool fluency. You use Claude, Chat GPT, or equivalent actively in your daily work. Strong Preferences: •Experience supporting a founder or entrepreneur in a high-growth or startup environment. •Familiarity with Amazon Seller Central, catalog management, and PPC coordination workflows. •Exposure to TikTok Shop operations and social commerce. •Experience implementing process automations and operational reporting dashboards. •Experience coordinating remote international teams across multiple time zones. Who This Role Is Not For •You need to be told what to do next. This role requires self-activation. •You are good at starting and weak at finishing. We need the opposite. •You avoid conflict and cannot hold people accountable without friction. •Your English is technically correct but forced, stiff, or hard to follow in real conversation. •You have no eCommerce experience and expect time to learn the basics on the job. •You need praise and validation to stay motivated. •You hide problems until they explode. •You expect to have everything figured out before you start. This role rewards people who learn fast and adapt faster. Your First 90 Days Days 1 to 30: Learn, audit, and stabilize. •Shadow the Founder. Map every open loop, stuck project, and unclear owner across both brands. •Build the master tracker. Install the weekly execution review. Run the first two sessions. •Deliver a written Business State Brief by day 30: what is clear, what is broken, what needs immediate action. Days 31 to 60: Own the cadence. •Run the weekly review independently. Complete the first 5 core SOPs. •Reduce open loops by 50 percent from the day 30 baseline. •Own the daily CEO sync: prep it, run it, send the recap without prompting. Days 61 to 90: Reduce the Founder's operational load measurably. •Founder spends fewer than 8 hours per week on operational follow-up. •At least one revenue-driving initiative has shipped that was stuck before you arrived. •Team accountability is owned by you, not the Founder. About the Business American Luxury Gifts is an established Amazon-first wall art and home decor brand with thousands of SKUs and active expansion across Etsy, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Pinterest. We have a strong catalog, a clear growth strategy, and active investment in scaling both brands significantly in the next 12 months. Burn-FIX is our medical and burn care brand with strong product-market fit and an aggressive growth target this year across Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, and retail distribution channels. We are investing in the people, systems, and growth partnerships required to accelerate both brands. This hire is central to making that acceleration real. The operator who comes in now will be part of building something significant from the ground floor.
