The National Operations Specialist assists Regional Managers in directing the overall management and maintenance of apartment communities throughout the country in accordance with Company policies and procedures. This position may serve as a troubleshooter and/or fill in for management at a particular property. This is a traveling role that is provided weekly assignments that require 90% travel, sometimes including weekends.What You’ll Do:Participate in the planning and implementation of the assigned community’s marketing planAssist with leasing responsibilities to maximize occupancyMaintain an excellent customer service relationship by adhering to the Peak Simply Service StandardsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of Company policies & proceduresAssist in conducting training for property staff on Company policies & proceduresAssist and complete Peak Leasing Experience with leasing staffInterview candidates for onsite positions and participate in the recruitment of new hires by making recommendations to the Property Manager/Regional ManagerAssist in conducting training for part-time leasing consultants and property staffAssist in scheduling and managing part-time leasing consultants while working at a particular propertyAssist in addressing employee-related issuesAssist in conducting performance appraisals for part-time leasing consultants and property staffParticipate in property inspections, quarterly, move-in, and move outAssist the Property Manager or Regional Manager in supervising maintenance staff, and when necessary, directly scheduling property repairs with outside contractorsMonitor maintenance service responses to ensure a high degree of resident satisfactionCoordinate preparation and processing of leases and related paperwork for approval by Property Manager or Regional ManagerEnsure accurate record retention and property compliance with record retention policies for approval by Regional ManagerPerform various administrative tasks as neededAssist in preparation of weekly and monthly reporting requirementsResponsible for helping property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating IncomeAddress complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional fashionServe as the primary manager of the property in the absence of the Property Manager or Assistant Manager; Fill in for open positions as necessaryWhat You’ll Need:A minimum of one year of experience as a Property Manager is required.High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferredThis position is 90% travel, including air travelTravel for student property turnover may include a full 2-4 week assignmentA valid driver's license and current automobile insurance is required.
