The Financial Controller role at Deliveroo is a key position within the accounting and financial reporting team. The role involves enhancing and preparing monthly consolidated reporting, leading the financial system chart of accounts, managing external reporting commitments, and leading the audit process for the group. The ideal candidate should be ACA, ACCA, or CA qualified with experience running a slick month-end process, good technical accounting experience with financial systems, and relevant industry or startup experience. Responsibilities: - Enhance and prepare monthly consolidated reporting pack, including consolidated P&L, Balance sheet, and Cash flow - Responsible for the month-end close and ensuring that the reporting team can meet the needs of the investor relations team - Design and implement global financial reporting controls, lead the Financial System (NetSuite) chart of accounts, and lead the relationship with the financial systems team - Ensure that the accounting policy manual is up-to-date and on changes to / new accounting policies, including analysis of the impact of new accounting standards or preferred practices by the business - Preparation/review of the financial statements and managing external reporting commitments - Lead the audit process for the group, to meet the deadlines of the group and local statutory reporting and filing goals, ensuring local GAAP accounts are prepared and filed - Corporate reporting projects eg. share options and finance transformation projects - Ad hoc projects, including ongoing projects to improve processes and ways of working across the finance team, M&A and improvements
