Responsibilities


ThinkWell collaborates with government institutions and local research partners in six countries to improve primary health care services. ThinkWell is seeking a consultant to support the Strategic Purchasing for Primary Health Care (SP4PHC) team in mainstreaming a gender perspective into its activities. The consultant will be responsible for developing gender awareness, sparking curiosity about gender impacts, providing knowledge and tools for gender analysis, and supporting the implementation of a cross-country learning agenda. The consultant should have a strong background in gender analysis of health systems, experience in organizing workshops, and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is required, and fluency in French is preferred. Responsibilities: - Develop greater gender-awareness across the teams - Spark curiosity about the gendered impacts of purchasing - Develop knowledge about how the teams can undertake gender analysis - Provide teams with tools to undertake gender analysis and recommend related actions - Support the implementation of a cross-country learning agenda - Organize and facilitate workshops - Articulate learning or research questions relevant to gender - Share tools for gender analysis and provide training on how to use them - Co-design the cross-country learning agenda - Guide implementation of the cross-country learning agenda - Support synthesis and dissemination of findings - Advise SP4PHC country and global teams on methods/tools for gender analysis - Review and provide inputs to written outputs - Coordinate with SP4PHC country teams and research partners - Contribute to multi-country projects - Engage effectively with external partners and stakeholders - Grow, mentor, and coach staff
