Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to support a U.S.-based law firm. This is a part-time, remote opportunity for a professional with strong legal research skills, document handling expertise, and fluency in U.S. legal procedures, especially within the California court system. Why This Role is Unique: * Case Ownership: Work directly on real case files with measurable legal impact. * Legal Precision: Respond to discovery requests and organize legal documentation. * Research-Driven: Apply legal knowledge to support ongoing litigation and compliance. * Flexibility: Part-time (up to 20 hours/week) with potential for more based on case volume. Core Responsibilities: * Review and respond to requests for production, interrogatories, and legal correspondence. * Conduct case law research and provide summaries to attorneys. * Organize and upload case documents to internal systems. * Track document production status and ensure accuracy. * Support litigation processes with administrative legal tasks. Qualifications & Skills: * Previous experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant, ideally supporting a U.S.-based firm. * Deep understanding of legal forms and court procedures in California. * High fluency in written and spoken English. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google tools, and internet research. * Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple legal requests. Work Setup: * Remote role (LATAM only). * Part-time: Up to 20 hours per week (may vary based on active cases). * Availability: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM Pacific Time (PT). * Tools: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, secure file storage systems.
