A key focus of this role is the timely and accurate retrieval of medical records and documentation in response to internal and external requests, including audits, payer inquiries, legal requests, and regulatory reviews. The CDS ensures documentation supports appropriate coding, billing, and compliance standards while maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of patient health information.This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.Your responsibilities will include:Medical Record Retrieval:Retrieve and compile patient medical records upon request from payers, auditors, legal entities, and internal departments.Track and prioritize requests to ensure timely fulfillment in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to locate missing documentation as needed.Clinical Documentation Review:Provide the necessary documentation to the clinical compliance officer for review.
