This role is fully remote.Copywriters are an important part of our client’s UX design team. They help keep the customer front-and-center by understanding the online journey, puzzling through critical details and dependencies, and organizing information according to the user’s needs at each point of the experience. Copywriters belong to a cross-functional team on each project, partnering w/ designers, producers, product owners, business analysts and engineering development teams.Deliverables include short and long copy and annotations for the web site and app.ResponsibilitiesIdentifying content gaps and researching solutions.Solving for geo-specific exceptions.Puzzling through and implementing copy and engineering feedbackCollaborating with designers to ensure copy and visuals work seamlessly togetherRequirements:Bachelor’s degree.4+ years' experience as part of a creative team in an agency or in-house design or user experience group.Strong portfolio of user experience, e-commerce, product and/or marketing-related writing for major brands.Ability to work independently, under tight deadlines, responding to shifting priorities, schedules, and deliverables. Willingness to write and revise copy on demand during working sessions with fellow team members and client.Agility with pattern matching, assessing complex requirements, and communicating nuanced details. Adaptability to dynamic processes around drafting and optimizing copy work, including changes introduced by AI tools.Service-oriented attitude — flexible, personable, approachable, patient. Passionate about pursuing excellence and advocating for the best possible customer (end-user) experience.Understanding of design flows and storyboards for user experience journeys and transactions including familiarity with digital production and content management.Understanding of accessible copywriting (works with VoiceOver technology, etc.) and best practices that optimize the interface/experience for customers with sight, hearing, cognitive, or mobility impairments.Comfortable with writing content that will be translated into multiple languages and writing for multiple geographies. Requires awareness of how connotations and nuances shift across regions.Experience related to consumer electronics, consumer financing, or global e-commerce is a plus.Compensation & BenefitsIn accordance with applicable law, the salary range provided is Verndale's reasonable estimate of the salary for this role.
