We are looking for an Associate Information Security Engineer to work in enterprise cyber security operations environment designing and integrating cloud security solutions, assisting in incident response activities, supporting proactive threat hunting efforts, and working on cyber security projects and tasks. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles, experience automating security tasks through scripting, and an understanding of how to embed security into modern cloud and DevOps workflows. This role also supports incident investigation, threat detection, and security tool evaluation and deployment.ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain security solutions in SaaS and IaaS environmentsWrite scripts to incorporate security into the DevOps lifecycle, including leveraging AI to improve securityWork with the SOC team to respond to security incidentsInvestigate security alerts and event logs to identify root cause and mitigation plansConduct proactive threat hunting activities to identify suspicious behavior, emerging threats, and gaps in detection coverageEvaluate security solutions to determine best fit and see them through deployment phaseManage tasks and projects, track progress, and report on themQualificationsExperience working in information security operationsExperience in writing scripts to automate security tasks and integrate various cloud solutions, preferably in Microsoft cloud environmentsSolid understanding of security operations and compliance environment with experience in managing multiple tasks and driving security initiatives within the IT groupParticipation and standing in hackathons and CTF competitions a plusOff-hours support on as-needed basisUS Citizenship and capable of getting a clearancePay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners.
