Requirements and responsibilities
We’re building an AI-powered back office for the skilled trades, starting with the $50B+ HVAC industry. We have strong traction and recently closed a $5M seed round to expand our engineering and product organization, as well as add additional services. We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who can help drive our next chapter of growth.
What you’ll build:
Examples of projects you might take on:
* New product screens and flows, including jobs, customers, invoices, and scheduling.
* UX polish and reliability improvements, including loading states, edge cases, accessibility, and performance.
* Auth and onboarding improvements, including login, permissions, and account linking.
* Workflow features such as filters, search, kanban improvements, and bulk actions.
* AI chat UI, including chat and tool result rendering, streaming responses, and human review and feedback loops.
Responsibilities:
* Analyze requirements and propose innovative AI-native solutions to technical problems.
* Write clean, scalable code.
* Ship full-stack features across React for the frontend and Node for APIs and services.
* Respond to critical system issues.
* For senior candidates, mentor team members and collaborate across teams, especially with product and subject-matter experts.
* Work to understand user needs and solve design challenges creatively.
This is a remote role. A minimum of 4 hours of overlap with the team is expected between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm ET.
Qualifications:
* Experience building and shipping real software, with level depending on experience.
* Strong React fundamentals or experience with an equivalent modern frontend framework.
* Node.js backend fundamentals, including REST and or GraphQL, with comfort working across the stack.
* Experience with modern databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, or equivalent.
* For senior candidates, experience building complex production systems.
* Excitement about leveraging AI coding tools to build fast and at scale.
Nice to have:
* Experience with workflow automation tools such as n8n or Lindy.
* Experience with HVAC or back-office business workflows.
* Experience with mobile development, especially Expo and or React Native.
