One of their teams currently builds products for the Mail platform on Android, iOS, and Web, and is looking for engineers with experience building large-scale front-end web applications. The project focuses on modernizing their Mail platform to improve user satisfaction and bring the experience closer to the standards set by leading competitors. The team oversees the development and maintenance of the webmail, mobile web, and classic web versions of the product.ResponsibilitiesProvide technical leadership in a fast-paced environmentEnforce best practices: design reviews, code reviews, CI/CD, TDDDevelop high-quality, high-performance features using Node.js/React.jsCollaborate with designers, product managers, and engineersWrite testable, reliable code and deploy continuouslyOptimize application performance and scalabilityOperate and monitor global-scale production systemsRequirementsAt least 8 years of experience in React, Redux, Node.js, and responsive designStrong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, software designProficiency in HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, and modern JavaScriptBenefitsThis is a contract-based opportunity with an expected duration of 6 to 12 months. The role is fully remote, with some overlap required with the PST time zone. While the client’s preference is for a full-time (40 hrs/week) commitment, they’re also open to part-time candidates who could gradually transition to full-time.
