About the RoleWe are seeking a visionary, operationally sharp Chief Product Officer to lead our product strategy, with a deep focus on the public sector. This executive will own the full product lifecycle — from discovery through delivery — and serve as the bridge between our SaaS capabilities and the complex procurement, compliance, and mission requirements of federal agencies. The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of commercial product leadership and hands-on experience navigating the federal landscape.Core ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive the overall product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to federal agency missions and emerging government prioritiesLead product solutioning efforts in response to federal opportunities — including RFIs, RFPs, and Sources Sought — translating SaaS capabilities into compliant, compelling technical solutionsPartner closely with the Head of Federal Sales, Capture, and Proposals teams to shape win themes and product positioning for federal bidsBuild and maintain deep relationships with federal agency stakeholders, program offices, and end users to drive continuous discovery and feedback loopsOwn the product compliance roadmap — including FedRAMP authorization (In Process, Moderate/High), FISMA, NIST 800-53, IL2/IL4/IL5, as applicableOversee the product management organization, establishing best-in-class agile and iterative development practices tuned for government delivery timelinesDevelop and present product briefings, demos, and capability overviews to C-suite stakeholders, agency CIOs, and technical evaluatorsCollaborate with engineering and architecture teams to balance commercial innovation with the security and compliance demands of classified and unclassified federal environmentsTrack federal technology policy shifts (e.g., Executive Orders, OMB memos, NDAA provisions) and translate their implications into product decisionsDrive competitive differentiation by monitoring the GovTech landscape, incumbent contract holders, and emerging agency technology needsRequirementsRequired Qualifications12+ years of progressive product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive product leadership roleDemonstrated track record selling or delivering SaaS solutions into the U.S. Federal government (Civilian, DoD, or IC)Direct experience supporting or leading product strategy for federal proposals, task orders, or IDIQ vehiclesStrong understanding of federal procurement cycles, OTAs, pilots, and how agencies evaluate and buy technologyWorking knowledge of federal compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, DISA STIGs, and relevant security controlsExperience managing and scaling cross-functional product teams in high-growth technology environmentsExceptional written and verbal communication skills — able to speak fluently to both technical engineers and senior government executivesPreferred QualificationsPrior experience within a federal agency, systems integrator (SI), or GovTech startupFamiliarity with category management, shared services models, and agency digital transformation initiativesExperience with cloud environments approved for federal use (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Google Public Sector)MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experienceWhat Success Looks Like (First 12 Months)Completed a comprehensive audit of current product capabilities versus the top 10 federal agency priority areasEstablished a FedRAMP roadmap with clear milestones and cross-functional ownershipLed product solutioning on at least two high-priority federal captures or task order responsesDelivered a 3-year product roadmap approved by the executive leadership team and informed by federal market intelligence
