We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Executive Publisher to lead publishing operations, strengthen the magazine's market presence, expand readership, and drive sustainable business growth.
Position Overview
The Executive Publisher will provide strategic and operational leadership across publishing, editorial coordination, advertising and sponsorship revenue, brand development, business partnerships, circulation, and digital growth.
The ideal candidate will bring senior-level leadership experience, strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education and media.
Key Responsibilities
*Publishing Leadership: Develop and execute publishing strategies, business objectives, and long-term growth plans.
*Editorial Oversight: Collaborate with editors and writers to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, relevance, and professional integrity.
*Business Development: Identify new market opportunities and establish partnerships with universities, colleges, schools, educational organizations, and corporate stakeholders.
*Revenue Generation: Lead advertising sales, sponsorships, promotional campaigns, and other commercial initiatives.
*Institutional Relations: Build and maintain relationships with educational leaders, institutional decision-makers, and industry professionals.
*Brand Development: Strengthen the magazine's reputation, visibility, and credibility across print and digital platforms.
*Digital Growth: Expand digital publishing, online readership, audience engagement, and distribution.
*Team Management: Lead and coordinate editorial, marketing, sales, and publishing teams.
*Financial Management: Manage budgets, revenue targets, operating expenses, and business performance.
*Strategic Planning: Monitor publishing trends, evaluate performance, and implement initiatives to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Publishing, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. A master's degree is an advantage.
*Significant experience in publishing, media management, advertising, business development, or executive leadership.
*Proven ability to lead teams, manage business operations, and develop strategic partnerships.
*Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
*Experience with advertising sales, sponsorships, revenue generation, or commercial partnerships.
*Understanding of print and digital publishing, audience development, and media industry trends.
*Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
*An established professional network in education, publishing, or corporate sectors is an advantage.
