The Role:
- This is a true end-to-end M&A analyst position.
- You will touch deals at every stage, from top-of-funnel prospecting through client onboarding, buyer coordination, and diligence support.
- Broad responsibility is expected, so versatility, sound judgment, and reliability matter more than any single specialty.
- Phone-based outreach is a core, ongoing part of the role.
- This is a high visibility seat on a fully transparent team: meetings run through Fathom, calls through JustCall, and all work is tracked in Asana and HubSpot.
What You'll Do:
- Prospecting and lead generation: Pull and enrich leads in Inven, load them into Smartlead or Apollo, and keep the top of the funnel full with qualified targets.
- Outbound calling: Dedicate consistent weekly time to calling potential buyers and sellers.
- Calling is one of the most important parts of this role.
- Weekly targets for calls, conversations, and meetings booked will be set in your first week.
- Content and marketing: Assist in writing and publishing blogs, newsletters, and other content that supports sales and marketing using AI tools.
- Admin and engagement setup: Schedule meetings, load contracts for signature in PandaDoc, and handle the administrative side of new engagements.
- Onboarding and deal setup: Create client and deal folders, move deals through the pipeline in HubSpot, manage invoicing and collections, and work from the firm's Asana checklists.
- Financial fluency: Read and understand P&Ls and GAAP-basis financials at a working level.
- Building recasted or normalized financials is a strong plus.
- CIM and marketing materials: Help produce CIMs and deal marketing materials using AI tools, specifically Claude and Claude design.
- Listings and inbound: Manage Axial and BizBuySell listings, and filter and triage inbound inquiries and NDAs.
- Buyer coordination: Check buyer questions against the data room, prepare seller follow-up emails for open items, and book qualified buyer calls onto the advisor's calendar.
- Deal and diligence support: Support live deals post-IOI/LOI, manage the due diligence punch list and data room, and follow up with clients and buyers after calls.
- Documentation and SOPs: Turn recurring work into written SOPs as you build.
- On this team, a task is not finished until the next person could run it from your documentation.
What We're Looking For:
- Clear spoken English, minimal accent.
- You will be on the phone with U.S. business owners and buyers, so a neutral, easily understood speaking voice is essential.
- Aligned time zone: Based in Latin America, South Africa, or a comparable region with strong overlap with U.S. business hours.
- Working financial competency: Comfortable reading a P&L and understanding GAAP basics.
- Ability to build recasted financials is a strong plus.
- Accuracy obsessed: Nothing goes to a client or buyer without being verified.
- Precision with numbers, names, and data room details is the fastest way to earn expanded scope here.
- Tech-forward and AI-enabled: Fluent with modern tools and quick to adopt new ones.
- Comfortable on the phone: You treat outreach and calling as a craft rather than a chore.
- Strong writer: Able to produce clean marketing content and professional client and buyer communications.
- AI assisted writing is expected, but writing that sounds like AI is not.
- Your output should read human.
- Self-directed and deadline-driven: You manage your own day, hit your numbers, and do what you say you will do.
- Punctual and communicative: Responsive, organized, and reliable.
- Comfortable with visibility and direct feedback: Calls and meetings are recorded, work is tracked, and feedback is candid and fast.
- You take it, apply it, and move on.
Tech Stack:
- We are a tech-forward, AI-enabled team and expect you to be comfortable working across the tools below.
- Prior experience is a plus, but a fast learner who adopts new tools quickly matters more.
- Prospecting and lead generation: Inven for sourcing and enriching leads.
- Outreach and dialing: Smartlead and Apollo for cold email cadences and calling; JustCall for dialing, texting, and call recording.
- Meetings and call intelligence: Fathom for meeting recording, summaries, and action items.
- Contracts and signatures: PandaDoc for engagement letters and electronic signatures.
- CRM and deal flow: HubSpot to manage pipeline and move deals through each stage.
- Project and task management: Asana for engagement checklists and deal workflows.
- Deal marketing and content: Claude and Claude design to produce CIMs, marketing materials, and content.
- Listings and marketplaces: Axial and BizBuySell for listings and inbound buyer inquiries.
- Diligence: Virtual data rooms for document management and buyer diligence.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or a brokerage/advisory environment.
- Familiarity with lower-middle-market deal dynamics and SaaS or bootstrapped business models.
- Experience building recasted or normalized financials or quality-of-earnings style analysis.
- Hands-on experience with Inven, Apollo, Smartlead, HubSpot, Asana, Axial, or BizBuySell.
Path Forward:
- This role is built to grow.
- You will start by owning prospecting, sales and marketing support, and deal administration.
- As you prove consistency and judgment, you will take on more of the live deal process, financial analysis, CIM production, buyer coordination, and diligence management.
- The goal is to build a well-rounded deal professional.
- You will begin with clear approval checkpoints on anything that goes to clients or buyers.
- As accuracy and judgment are proven, those checkpoints fall away and your scope expands quickly.
