Job Details: - Job ID: CFG_142. - Client: Department of State. - Job Type: Full-time (Hourly or Salaried). - Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40. - Location: Fully Remote. - Work status: US citizens only due to federal/government requirement. The Project and Role: - Building a greenfield, shared AWS platform (EKS on Terraform, 99% IaC via GitLab CI/CD) supporting many cloud-native tenant development teams. - High-velocity, hands-on platform engineering and architecture role. - Not a passive, ticket-taking position. - Collaborate with engineers to architect and build the platform in high-paced sprints. - Actively unblock tenant teams via real-time synchronous collaboration, pair programming, and rapid troubleshooting. Required Skills and Experience: - Core Tech: 8+ years in the field with deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, containers, and GitOps. - Pipelines and Code: Deep expertise with automation pipelines (GitLab, GitHub, or CodePipeline). - Network and Security: Strong AWS networking (VPC, route tables, Direct Connect, site-to-site VPNs, ALB/NLB) and cloud security hardening. - Compliance: 3+ years designing countermeasures to maintain system compliance with DISA STIGs or similar U.S. Government frameworks. - Code: Fluency in at least one major language (Python, TypeScript, Java) with a preference for prior software development experience. - Operations: Experience with AWS auditing mechanisms and Splunk integration. - Availability: Must align with 9 AM – 5 PM ET standard working hours and travel twice a year to DC for all-hands meetings. Security and Compliance Mandate: - Background claims and technical submissions are strictly verified. - The final stages of our interview process include live identity verification. - Any misrepresentation or fraudulent identity usage constitutes a violation of federal contracting regulations and will be reported to federal authorities.
