This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, platform reliability, and data security. You will design and operate data systems that power analytics, reporting, decision engines, and regulatory workflows across Neo’s wealth and asset management platforms.This is not a dashboard-only role.This is not just an ETL role.You are accountable for how data flows, how secure it is, and how trustworthy it remains in production.What You Will DoDesign and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelinesOwn data ingestion, transformation, and serving layers across systemsBuild reliable data platforms used by analytics, product, and AI teamsEnsure data quality, freshness, and correctness at scaleDesign secure access patterns for sensitive financial dataImplement encryption, access controls, and audit-ready data workflowsPartner with product, risk, compliance, and InfoSec teamsDebug data failures, delays, and inconsistencies in productionTake ownership during data incidents and reliability issuesEducationBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.Required Skills & Experience5+ years building production-grade data engineering systemsStrong Python and SQL fundamentalsExperience designing and maintaining ETL / ELT pipelinesExperience with cloud-native data platforms (AWS preferred)Strong understanding of data modelling and warehouse designExperience operating relational and NoSQL databases in productionSolid grasp of data security fundamentals (IAM,PAM, encryption, access control)Ability to reason about performance, cost, and reliability trade-offsGood to HaveExperience with financial, trading, or wealth management dataExposure to streaming or event-driven data systemsExperience with data governance, lineage, or catalogingFamiliarity with compliance-driven environments (SEBI, SOC, ISO)Experience working closely with InfoSec or risk teamsWhat We ValueEngineers who think in systems, not scriptsStrong ownership of data correctness and securityBias toward reliability over clevernessComfort operating in regulated environmentsEngineers who debug production issues end-to-endWhy This Role MattersData is foundational to trust at Neo.This role directly impacts how confident our teams, clients, and regulators are in the numbers they see and the decisions made on top of them.
