This person will shape live auction, marketplace interactions, and seller workflows, designing engaging purchasing journeys for buyers while simplifying operational complexity for sellers. You will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional partners to deeply understand user needs and deliver thoughtful, scalable solutions that drive growth on both sides of the marketplace.This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in the Toronto area. You will report to the Design Lead and collaborate with talented colleagues from around the globe.ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end design for core consumer live-stream experiences and seller workflows across mobile and web.Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering to execute roadmap priorities while shaping how problems are framed and solved.Conduct and synthesize user research independently, translating insights into clear, actionable design solutions.Proactively explore and apply emerging AI tools to enhance design quality, speed, and product thinking.Contribute to and evolve Palmstreet’s design system to ensure consistency and scalability across the product ecosystem.Qualifications3+ years of product design experience at a product-focused tech company.Strong experience designing for web and native mobile products.A compelling portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, UX craft, and execution.Ability to independently run user research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into clear design direction.High learning velocity and structured thinking — able to quickly master new tools, systems, and problem spaces.Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate decisions and collaborate cross-functionally.Comfortable wearing multiple hats and operating in ambiguity.Naturally stays ahead of AI trends and experiments proactively.Bonus points forExperience designing for marketplace platforms.Previous experience working at a startup or high-growth environment.Experience working with a global team.Your LocationRemote - Canada (Toronto preferred)Travel: Twice a year for team building events; 3-5 days for each eventCompensation (Canada)Pay Range: CA$90,000 - CA$130,000Stock options negotiableThe pay range for this role is determined by job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and current market data.
