BitPay is seeking an AML Analyst, Transaction Monitoring to join our Compliance and Risk team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring ongoing compliance through transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and support of regulatory and law enforcement inquiries. We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow.RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor transactions and account activity to identify unusual patterns and potential money laundering risksConduct sanctions screening and support related investigationsReview merchant activity to ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory expectationsRespond to subpoenas and requests from law enforcement and regulatory agenciesAssist with internal investigations and collaborate with legal and compliance teams as neededDraft clear and comprehensive reports, including documentation of suspicious activity and investigative outcomesMaintain and update compliance policies and procedures, particularly those relating to suspicious activity monitoring, sanctions enforcement, and regulatory reportingSupport internal audits and testing functions related to AML complianceProvide guidance to internal teams on appropriate action related to high-risk behavior or accountsCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership, on compliance issues and risk exposureParticipate in cross-functional projects to improve and strengthen the company’s compliance frameworkOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:3+ years of experience in an AML compliance role, preferably in the crypto industryBlockchain tracing/analytics experience or Blockchain Analytic certifications is a plusStrong analytical, research, and critical thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesExceptional attention to detail and accuracySelf-motivated with the ability to adapt and manage priorities in a dynamic environmentTeam-oriented with a collaborative mindset and positive attitudeACAMS or similar AML certifications is preferredPre-law coursework or relevant experience is a plusWHAT WE OFFER:Collaborate with a team of intelligent, enthusiastic individuals.Thrive in a rapidly expanding crypto company with global reach, where your contributions make a tangible impact.Work remote with a generous vacation policy, including the opportunity to take a sabbatical and select your own holidays.Access to continuous learning and development opportunities, supported by professional development reimbursement.Competitive salary package and pension plan.Option to receive payment in cryptocurrency, along with a crypto match program.Stock option awards available to all employees.Home office allowance, reimbursement for internet/cell expenses, complimentary Amazon Prime and Spotify subscriptions.
