Job Description:
CA Dispatch to IBM Tivoli Output Manager for z/OS (ITom):
- ITOM can be used to capture, archive, and distribute output from local and remote systems.
- It can be used to transform the captured data into customizable reports and automates report distribution and printing.
- Migration will include providing a screen scraper application for the CA Dispatch to simulate the online functions of Dispatch and SDSF to have the sysout on a sequential flat file to load history tables and create ITOM archive entries matching recalled CA-Dispatch archives.
CA SPOOL to IBM Infoprint Server (IPS):
- IPS consolidates printing on a central z/OS print server.
- CA-SPOOL printer definitions and print standards will be migrated to IPS printers.
- Printer Inventory JCL and Printer Inventory Definition Utility (PIDU) files will be created.
- Low impact to application development.
