MicroTech is seeking a highly accomplished Vice President of Federal Business Development & Capture to lead strategic growth initiatives and expand the company’s presence across priority federal markets. This executive will identify, shape, and capture high-value federal opportunities while building strong relationships with key government stakeholders.Reporting to the CEO and/or COO, the VP will drive opportunity identification, capture strategy, and contract wins across agencies, including HHS, DHS and DOW.The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of generating $50M+ in annual federal contract revenue, building strategic pipelines, and leading capture efforts for complex procurements within a fast-moving small business environment.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Business DevelopmentIdentify and qualify strategic opportunities across targeted federal agencies.Develop and manage a $250M+ qualified pipeline.Leverage executive-level relationships with program offices and acquisition leadership.Capture LeadershipLead capture efforts from early market intelligence through contract award.Develop win themes, competitive positioning, and teaming strategies.Collaborate with proposal, technical, pricing, and contracts teams to deliver winning solutions.Partnerships & Market EngagementEstablish strategic partnerships with leading federal integrators and technology firms.Negotiate teaming agreements aligned with target contract vehicles.Represent MicroTech at industry events and federal customer engagements.Qualifications12–15+ years of federal business development and capture experience in GovCon.Demonstrated success generating $50M+ in annual federal contract awards.Experience leading capture efforts for large federal opportunities ($50M–$250M).Established relationships within HHS, DHS, Air Force, Army, or similar agencies.Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes and FAR.Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.Preferred ExperienceExperience with contract vehicles such as GSA MAS, OASIS/OASIS+, DHS, and DOW IDIQs.Background in IT modernization, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, or advanced analytics.Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance preferred.Performance ExpectationsMaintain a $250M–$500M qualified opportunity pipeline.Deliver $50M+ in annual contract awards.Expand MicroTech’s footprint across targeted federal agencies.Strengthen prime contract positioning through strategic partnerships.Why Join MicroTechExecutive compensation with performance-based incentives tied to contract wins.Opportunity to shape growth in high-priority federal markets.Direct influence on corporate strategy and expansion.Leadership committed to investing in capture and proposal resources.MicroTech is an award-winning Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and experienced provider of information technology and communications.
