Instructors facilitate curriculum content, support student learning, and connect cloud and DevOps concepts to real-world infrastructure, automation, and deployment practices. This role involves teaching live online sessions, mentoring learners, providing feedback, and contributing to a collaborative instructional environment. Classes are delivered 100% online in a synchronous format.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver live online training sessions covering Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts.Cover core topics including: Cloud infrastructure fundamentals; deployment and management of cloud resources; hands-on use of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Teach DevOps Concepts & Practices: Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automation and deployment workflows, infrastructure monitoring and observability, containerization and orchestration concepts, DevOps lifecycle and collaboration practices.Cover DevOps Tools & Technologies: Jenkins, Git and GitHub workflows, Docker containerization, Kubernetes orchestration, Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Ansible for configuration management, monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.Cover Infrastructure & Architecture: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and implementation, microservices architecture fundamentals, serverless computing concepts and cloud-native design, deployment automation and scalability best practices.Cover Security & Compliance: security best practices in cloud environments, identity and access management concepts, compliance and governance fundamentals, monitoring, logging, and incident management.Provide hands-on demonstrations, labs, and guided project support.Facilitate practical exercises, assignments, and real-world deployment scenarios.Mentor learners and resolve technical or conceptual queries.Conduct assessments, evaluations, and feedback sessions.Maintain session quality metrics and learner engagement standards.Collaborate with internal teams on curriculum updates and technical content refinement.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field7+ years of professional experience in Cloud Computing, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) rolesHands-on expertise with one or more major cloud platforms: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud (GCP)Strong understanding of DevOps concepts including: Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CD), automation, monitoring and observability, container orchestrationPractical experience with DevOps tools such as: Jenkins, Git/GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Prometheus/GrafanaWorking knowledge of: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), microservices architecture, serverless computingFamiliarity with security and compliance best practices in cloud environmentsPrior experience delivering online or classroom training preferredExcellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsCertifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator/DevOps Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or equivalent cloud or DevOps certificationsExperience working in enterprise cloud migration or DevOps transformation initiativesFamiliarity with Agile and DevSecOps practicesExposure to CI/CD pipeline optimization and automation frameworksExperience mentoring engineers or technical learnersKey CompetenciesStrong instructional and facilitation skillsAbility to simplify complex cloud and DevOps concepts clearlyStructured and professional virtual delivery approachStrong analytical and troubleshooting mindsetHands-on mentoring and learner support capabilityAdaptability to evolving cloud technologies and automation practicesStudent Support & MentorshipProvide individualized student support during live sessions and scheduled office hours.Maintain regular communication with students regarding progress, expectations, and milestones.Respond to student and staff communications in a timely and professional manner.Provide clear, constructive, and timely feedback on assignments, assessments, and lab activities.Performance MonitoringEvaluate student progress based on course deliverables and established grading rubrics.Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and engagement.Identify and escalate academic or learner performance concerns to the Lead Instructor or appropriate staff.Support learner improvement plans and certification readiness initiatives when necessary.Collaboration & Professional ConductAdhere to institutional policies and instructional team standards.Foster an inclusive, respectful, and professional learning environment.Serve as a role model and mentor for learners pursuing Cloud and DevOps careers.Collaborate with instructional staff and program teams to improve the learner experience and program outcomes.Represent the organization professionally when interacting with students, staff, and external stakeholders.Work SchedulePart-Time instructors typically work 10–15 hours per week depending on cohort schedules.The total weekly part-time commitment is expected to be 8–12 hours.Weekday -
