Job Summary.
We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer (Contractor) to support our marketing automation and customer engagement initiatives on a project basis. You’ll work closely with our internal marketing, CRM, and development teams to build, optimize, and troubleshoot campaigns and integrations within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and deliver high-quality results with minimal ramp-up.
Key Responsibilities.
* Configure, build, and deploy cross-channel marketing journeys using Marketing Cloud tools, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Automation Studio.
* Develop and optimize personalized content using AMPscript, SSJS, HTML, and CSS.
* Implement triggered automations, segmentation logic, and data imports.
* Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM and/or third-party systems via Marketing Cloud Connect or APIs.
* Assist with campaign troubleshooting, quality assurance, and performance tracking.
* Maintain and document technical configurations, workflows, and code.
* Collaborate with in-house teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and data protection standards.
Requirements.
Technical Skills.
* Proven experience (3+ years) working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud in a development or engineering capacity.
* Strong knowledge of AMPscript, Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS), HTML, CSS, and SQL.
* Solid experience integrating SFMC and Salesforce CRM using Marketing Cloud Connect or REST/SOAP APIs.
* Deep understanding of contact models, data extensions, and segmentation strategies.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
Certifications.
* Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Email Specialist (required).
* Marketing Cloud Developer or Consultant certification (a plus).

* Able to manage workload across multiple projects and stakeholders.
