You will produce accurate, high-quality components for the aerospace and defence sectors while working to tight tolerances and maintaining consistently high standards.This is a hands-on milling role involving setting, operating, inspecting, and maintaining CNC machinery, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and attention to detail.The Role:Set and operate CNC milling machines.Work on Mazak CNC horizontal and vertical machining centres.Produce accurate components efficiently and to specification.Work to tight tolerances and check your own work against required standards.Inspect finished parts using the relevant measuring equipment.Maintain CNC machines, tooling, associated equipment, and work area.Follow EN9100 quality standards at all times.Work independently and as part of a team when required.Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.Support safe working practices and follow all health and safety procedures.Requirements:Fully skilled, experienced, or time-served CNC setter/operator.Proven milling experience on horizontal and/or vertical machines.Strong understanding of engineering drawings.Competent in using micrometres, callipers, gauges, and similar measuring equipment.Able to work to very fine tolerances.Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-to-eye coordination.Computer literate.Able to follow written instructions carefully.Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.Experience working safely in a precision manufacturing environment.Suitable Experience:This role will suit a CNC Miller, CNC Machinist, or CNC Setter/Operator with a background in precision engineering, ideally within aerospace or defence manufacturing.
