Trueline's client, a well-established boutique law firm specializing in commercial real estate and landlord representation, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team remotely in Southern California.This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned litigator who enjoys both litigation and transactional work and wants to practice at a high level without the bureaucracy of a large firm. You'll work directly with sophisticated commercial landlords, developers, and property owners while handling meaningful matters from strategy through resolution.What You'll Do as the Associate Attorney:Represent commercial landlords in complex lease disputes, unlawful detainer actions, and breach of lease mattersDraft and negotiate commercial leases, amendments, assignments, guaranties, and related agreementsManage litigation from initial strategy through trial, including pleadings, discovery, motions, depositions, hearings, and settlement negotiationsAdvise clients on lease interpretation, risk management, default remedies, and property-related legal issuesAppear in California state courts throughout the litigation processBuild trusted relationships with sophisticated commercial real estate clientsCollaborate directly with firm leadership on legal strategy and complex mattersMust-Haves as the Associate Attorney:Active member of the California BarApproximately 15+ years of litigation experienceSignificant experience handling commercial landlord-tenant mattersStrong understanding of commercial lease drafting, review, and interpretationExperience independently managing hearings, motions, and trialsExceptional legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with a close-knit teamOutstanding communication and client relationship skillsNice-to-Haves as the Associate Attorney:Experience representing shopping center owners, developers, REITs, or commercial property management companiesStrong transactional commercial real estate backgroundExperience with mediation and alternative dispute resolutionExisting relationships within the Southern California commercial real estate communityThis Role Offers:Base salary of $200,000-$240,000Performance-based annual bonus with flexibility for exceptional candidatesFully remote work for candidates located in Southern CaliforniaOpportunity to work with nationally recognized commercial landlords and developersHigh-level litigation and transactional work without Big Law bureaucracyDirect access to firm leadership and meaningful client interactionCollaborative boutique environment where experience and judgment are valuedLong-term opportunity to become an integral part of a highly respected niche practice
