We are looking for an Application Development Manager TPU – CIS & Mobility to join our team in Pudong, Shanghai, China. As an Application Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving application and business growth in the APAC region by offering technical expertise, initiating new opportunities, and developing innovative solutions with identified technical differentiators. You will collaborate closely with the business development and sales functions, lead technical development projects, and provide technical support for customers. Additionally, you will contribute to the long-term strategy of Covestro Specialty Films in Asia, focusing on TPU film technology related to the Mobility and Consumer & Industrial Solutions (CIS) segments. If you have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or related disciplines, along with a minimum of 8 years' experience in the plastics industry, we encourage you to apply and become part of our dynamic and diverse team at Covestro. Responsibilities: - Act as a TPU Film expert in CIS & Mobility in the APAC region - Collaborate closely with SF APAC business development & sales functions - Drive technical development projects and lead application & technical benchmarking study - Offer TPU film technical support for customers - Initiate and lead competitive product analysis - Lead responsible segments’ New Product Request (NPR) projects - Anticipate technology development trends in the TPU film processing industry - Foster CE solutions within the industry - Create a unique Covestro position to be protected by IP - Contribute to long-term SF APAC strategy
