Founded in 1990 and proudly independent, they work for some of the most famous big and small brands in the world out of their studios in London, New York, and Shanghai. Jones Knowles Ritchie is looking for a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller is vital in leading & developing the Finance team. This includes ownership and development of processes and controls for reporting / month end, budgeting and reforecasting, accounts payable, billing and working capital management. The ideal Controller is precise with a high level of attention to data accuracy and timely reporting to support business decisions and is a strong people manager with experience of embedding processes. Responsibilities: - Ensure the Group’s policies and standards are adhered to. - Manages the month-end closing process, particularly the revenue cycle, continuously improving the issuance of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial records and reconciliations in accordance with company timeline. - Development and implementation of operational KPIs reporting and targets for the finance team. - Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of timesheet records and client profitability reporting. - Responsible for producing accurate monthly revenue and client profitability data in a timely manner - Assist in the design of company end-to-end Revenue to cash processes and maintain robust controls to minimize risks. - Manages the AR team, management accountant and assistant management accountant ensuring the productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, fixed asset records, corporate and project accounting. - Advise client services teams on job pricing, and review job performance and financials to identify improvements - Responsible for integrity of finance systems (Pegasus) and finance aspects of any peripheral systems (e.g. Screendragon) - Assists in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances - A supportive finance partner for the company’s operating and account management teams, nurtures internal and external relationships through timely, proactive communication and follow-up - Provides timely and proactive communication to Finance Director, including consistent deliverables, meeting recaps, program updates, and all other relevant client Finance deliverables - Support any other ad-hoc activities and projects with Finance director. - Liaise and assist external auditors, managing delivery of timely and accurate audit information. - Keep up to date with legal and accounting guidance and actions correctly within the business - Mentors, trains, and leads other finance team members - Keeps under review makes recommendations for continuous improvement of all aspects of finance processes.
