We are looking for a Data Scientist interested in leveraging data to fight against fraud and default in Mexico. You will be utilizing analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets and ensure the usage of this information to develop data-driven solutions for the members of the Trebu network. Responsibilities: - Building the data science team, the first process, structure, and road map. - Find patterns and trends in datasets to uncover insights, especially patterns to reduce fraud and default. - Create algorithms and data models to forecast outcomes. - Use machine learning techniques to improve the quality of data. - Communicate recommendations to the team. - Deploy data tools such as Python, R, SAS, or SQL in data analysis. - Stay on top of innovations in the data science field. - Contribute and share your findings and knowledge of data science and other modeling systems with the team. - Partner with the founding team to develop, test and deploy models. - Knowledge of how to use statistical inference and experimentation to drive actionable recommendations. Requirements: - 3+ years of experience in a data science role. - Degree in statistics, math, computer science, or economics (nice to have). - Fluent in SQL, Excel, Python, and packages related to machine learning. - Experience with deploying data science models in a production environment - Data warehouse management experience. - Basic understanding of experimental design (such as A/B experiments) and statistical methods. - Experience manipulating large amounts of structured and unstructured data. - Experience in building fraud, credit, or risk models. - Experience leading teams (min 1 person).
