Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access. They have built the first software-enabled network of therapists who accept health insurance, making it easy for therapists to grow their practices, and possible for patients to find quality care they can afford. They launched in April of 2019 and are now powering 400,000+ appointments per month. To scale their vision, they’ve raised over $100 million in funding from a16z, Thrive, Accel, and Google Ventures. Headway is looking for experienced engineers who have the ability to deal with ambiguity and learn new technologies and systems. The engineering team at Headway is a small but mighty team using technology to build the future of mental healthcare. They are working on several projects including building a secure, scalable platform, a core insurance and billing engine, network expansion, a therapist practice management system, and a patient search and matching system. Responsibilities: - Building a secure, scaleable platform and leading projects across our engineering org to ensure patient privacy and compliance as we grow. - Building the insurance systems and infrastructure that can process 1M+ appointments per month. - Building the underlying systems and internal tools to support the successful growth of our provider network nationally. - Building a best-in-class platform for Headway therapists to manage their patients, appointments, payments, and more. - Transforming the therapist search experience and becoming the trusted guide for patients to find the right therapist.
