In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of protecting our customers and Zopa from fraud while ensuring we deliver the seamless, human experience we're known for. You'll lead our fraud prevention strategy across our entire product ecosystem - from current accounts and loans to savings, credit cards, and car finance and via our Zopa mobile banking app and web. You will act as the architect of our fraud defence strategy, working directly with our Director of Fraud to keep customers safe while enabling the business to grow boldly.A day in the life:Strategic Leadership - Design and deliver exceptional fraud prevention strategies that protect both our customers and Zopa, balancing security with the seamless experience our customers loveBuild and maintain our fraud risk framework, ensuring we stay within fraud budget while supporting ambitious business growthAct as Zopa's fraud subject matter expert, advising stakeholders on emerging trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practicesSupport the business in the roll out of new products/processCross-functional Impact - Partner with Product, Tech, Operations, and Risk teams across both First and Second Lines of Defence to embed fraud prevention and detection into everything we buildTransform fraud insights into actionable strategies, working with data to identify best in class fraud strategies and create enhanced controlsChampion industry collaboration, building and maintaining strong networks and partnerships to keep Zopa at the forefront of fraud preventionHands-on Delivery - Deep dive into fraud performance across all products, identifying risks and opportunities for enhancementConduct root cause analysis to uncover emerging threats and drive continuous improvementDevelop roadmaps for control enhancements and oversee their deliveryEnsure our fraud strategies and controls meet current and future regulatory requirements; including the accurate submission of regulatory reportingAbout youYou're a fraud prevention expert who thrives on solving complex problems and turning challenges into opportunities. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, and you're energised by working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Proven track record of defining and delivering fraud prevention strategies across first party fraud, third party fraud, and Authorized Pushed Payment fraud and Account TakeoverExperience working in financial services or consultancy, with deep expertise in fraud detection and preventionStrong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from data and communicate them to diverse audiencesExcellence in stakeholder management - you can navigate competing priorities and manage expectations under pressureLove working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to solve complex problemsCan translate technical fraud concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiencesHave experience optimising operational processes to enhance fraud frameworksAre passionate about protecting customers while enabling great experiencesAt Zopa we value flexible ways of working We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance.
