About the RoleAs a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will provide key technical ownership within the engineering organization by building, operating, and continuously improving the infrastructure that supports Riverside Insights’ assessment platforms. You will partner closely with engineering and product leaders to ensure systems are reliable, secure, scalable, and highly automated—especially during peak demand periods.What You’ll DoDesign, build, and operate reliable AWS-based infrastructure supporting production services Improve automation, repeatability, scalability, observability, and cost efficiency across the platform Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual operations Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and create runbooks for high-risk operational services Partner with engineering teams to support deployments and improve operational practices Coach and mentor engineers on DevOps principles and operational excellence RequirementsRequired QualificationsExtensive experience operating AWS infrastructure in multi-account and multi-region environments Strong expertise with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch and Datadog Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows and automation Strong communication, collaboration, and time management skills Preferred QualificationsExperience with AMI-based image pipelines using AWS Image Builder Proficiency in Python, Node.js/TypeScript, or Bash for automation Experience improving infrastructure security posture and integrating security into pipelines Experience supporting developer productivity and modern engineering tooling Physical RequirementsRemote.Travel 1–2 times a year for off-site team meetings or conferences.May require stationary positions (sitting or standing) for extended periods.BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision plans Company paid basic life and AD and D insurance Company paid long-term disability Paid Parental Leave Supplemental life insurance options Company paid Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Retirement plan with discretionary company matching Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options Premium subscription to Calm for employee and dependents 33 days of company paid time off Flexible work arrangements Tuition Reimbursement Program Company orientation and 30, 60, 90 Day Onboarding CompensationThis position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $165,000 aligned with market data and internal equity.
