We are looking for a Medical Billing Specialist — Therapy Practice (TherapyNotes) to join our growing team at The Coordinators! You would be working remotely with our client in the Mental Health / Therapy Practice space. If you are passionate about discovering your potential, this is the heart of what we do. In this role, you will support the billing and administrative workflows for a growing therapy practice, focusing on accounts receivable, denial management, insurance follow-up, and patient coordination. You will help create structure and process clarity while ensuring timely reimbursement and proactive communication with both patients and the internal team. This is a highly hands-on, patient-facing administrative role that requires reliability, structure, and proactive communication. The ideal candidate brings experience in therapy or behavioral health billing, communicates with professionalism and empathy, is comfortable navigating TherapyNotes, and demonstrates strong organization, consistency, and high ethical standards while supporting efficient revenue cycle operations. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts receivable and insurance follow-up workflows. - Handle denial management and work claims through resolution. - Communicate with patients regarding billing and scheduling-related matters. - Support billing operations within TherapyNotes. - Assist with appointment scheduling and administrative coordination as needed. - Maintain accurate and organized billing documentation across systems. - Help document and improve billing and administrative processes. - Provide proactive reporting on completed tasks, pending items, and workflow bottlenecks. - Collaborate closely with practice leadership to maintain operational efficiency. Requirements and Qualifications: - Experience in therapy, mental health, or behavioral health billing (required). - Experience using TherapyNotes (required or strongly preferred). - Strong understanding of accounts receivable, denials, and insurance workflows. - Ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with patients. - Strong attention to detail and process discipline. - Ability to work independently while maintaining proactive communication. - Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously. - Tech-savvy and effective in a remote work environment. - High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information. - High ethical standards, professionalism, and respect in all patient interactions. - Willingness to learn, grow, and develop yourself professionally. Schedule: - Flexible based on workload (estimated 20–40 hours/week). Pay Range: - $5 – $8 per hour. Equipment: - BYO devices.
