We are seeking a Data Scientist to support category-level demand forecasting. This role focuses on building, improving, and operationalizing forecasting models utilized in business planning across North America. As an individual contributor, you will collaborate closely with demand planning and forecasting stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance category-level demand forecasting modelsImprove forecast accuracy, bias, and consistency across marketsSupport quarterly forecast refresh cycles and business validationPerform model experimentation, validation, and performance monitoringSupport scenario modeling, long-term forecasting, and hierarchy reconciliationWork with Python and Pyspark on large datasets; support pipeline efficiency and documentationQualificationsProven experience in developing Data Science solutions for production useStrong knowledge of Databricks (PySpark, SQL, Delta Lake)Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipeline orchestrationSolid understanding of Python and integration with APIs/servicesGood understanding of machine learning modeling techniques/process and be able to support ML experiments independentlyFamiliarity with cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyGreat communication skills for any platform-related queries and internal discussionsExperience with CI/CD pipelines for Databricks deploymentsKnowledge of Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions for automation
